My physical therapist Ken was amazing. He explained things thoroughly, in a way that was easy to understand and remember. I really felt like he genuinely cared about my issues.
The facility is clean and in good order. They will bill most insurance providers for you. It’s hard to find a great physical therapist these days and I believe I have found one.

I had very frustrating experience with this provider.
When you're getting intake, they "estimate" your coverage based on the information from your insurance.
In my case because they were out of network, the insurance part of the coverage supposed to be 70%.

The price for the session they billed me in this location was definitely trying to max out my limit per session. I checked the other clinics and even other locations of the same provider - everywhere was cheeper than this one. I only started with them because they were able to accommodate me earlier and in hope the insurance coverage will be sufficient (as out-of-network provider they first bill the patient and then file the claim).

However, when 3 weeks after I received my first explanation of benefits from the insurance company, 70% of coverage "magically" turned into about 20%.

The thing is the insurance not only have a limit per session, but also the limits per the unit of specific code they file. I don't believe Agile is not aware of these codes and the typical coverage for them from most insurance plans (and mine was a pretty good one which never cause any problems or significant difference between expected and real payments).

Back to the point, I called the insurance and discovered that:
a) Agile was trying to get 2 times more for each code that is the maximum allowed by the insurance (again I can imagine not knowing if the code is covered $30 or $35, but TWICE as much as the typical limit - I don't believe they didn't know this would not be covered!)
b) Agile was using the overlapping codes without specifying why they have to be applied together, as a result the insurance simply denied to cover another half of the amount based on the service under one code "has been already covered" as a part of another code.

Whet I emailed them about the problem, the receptionist Allayah Clark simply point me into the paper I had to sign on the intake that "I understand this is an estimate not the final amount", and then for the code refered to "it's therapist who decides which codes to put, not the building or administration".

This was unprecedented luck of cooperation and the attempt to make guilty anyone else, but those who did the initial estimate. Again I would understand if this was 10, even 20% error in the estimate , but like I said the "estimate" was not even close to be a real estimate.

Their billing department didn't even try to fix the issue with the loose combination of codes, they simply told that "the cost of the entire session was above the insurance limits", however this is simply not true - I checked it with the insurance and I didn't exceed the total session limit, but the limits for every specific code.

So, if you don't count your money at all or like billing surprises - definitely go for it! Otherwise, I would not recommend this provider as they will try to shamelessly get the most out of your pocket by giving you misleading estimates first and then pretend that you knew and agreed on everything when it's too late.

Their position of not even trying to help the customer and simply take the responsibility out of themselves is just impertinent!

Outstanding personalized care. Each client gets a full hour with a physical therapist. Other places use aides who are not full PTs a d some places allot only 20 min per patient with a physical therapist. I am very very pleased..

The physical therapy treatment I received at Agile Physical Therapy in Menlo Park helped me gain strength and range of motion for both knee issues I had. I still practice the exercises & include them in my routine for continuous strengthening and balance. Everyday I find that I am more flexible and moving better than before as I have had strength & balancing issues especially after a left replacement knee surgery. My physical therapist was very proactive to what treatment I needed. I was very satisfied with the selected pt treatments. The app was very user-friendly and helpful. The hands-on pt treatment helped alleviate stiffness so to promote range of motion. I highly recommend Agile Physical Therapy in Menlo Park. The staff are friendly & the facility is clean and there's parking.

Exceptional Care at Agile Physical Therapy

I highly recommend Agile Physical Therapy in Menlo Park, CA, especially my exceptional therapist, Christina. After a severe fall from the second floor, I suffered L1 and L2 spinal fractures, worsening my chronic lower back pain—a condition I’d endured for years and thought untreatable. Short 30 minute car rides caused significant discomfort, limiting my activities. My goal was to recover from the injury and, if possible, ease this long-standing pain to regain normal mobility.

Over five biweekly 60-minute sessions with Christina, her expertise and meticulous attention transformed my life. She closely monitored every movement, providing precise feedback on technique—details I’d overlooked. Christina clearly explained each exercise’s purpose and targeted areas, ensuring I understood every step. By following her guidance, I saw remarkable progress. She never handled paperwork during sessions, focusing entirely on my care.

The results exceeded my expectations. My injury-related pain has significantly improved, and my chronic lower back pain is far more manageable. This progress has empowered my wife and me to plan our dream cross-country road trip from the West Coast to the East Coast—a goal I never thought possible. I shared this milestone with Christina during my final session, grateful for her outstanding care and coaching.

Agile Physical Therapy is exceptional, and Christina’s dedication and attention to detail make her a standout. Thank you, Christina and Agile Physical Therapy, for restoring my mobility and improving a condition I believed was permanent!

I highly recommend Rachel, as she healed my torn rotator cuff. For months I had woken up 3-4 times a night in pain. In six sessions over 3 months she eliminated my pain, as well as my mobility issues. The exercises she gave me were progressively more challenging, and very effective. I expect to continue doing them for the rest of my life. Thanks so much Rachel!

I've been working with Scott Young at Agile Physical Therapy for the past four years, off and on, for lower back, hip, and knee pain. Scott has consistently provided outstanding care — not only is he highly professional, but also incredibly patient and attentive.

What I appreciate most is how he tailors each session based on how I’m feeling that day. Whether I didn’t sleep well or am dealing with extra pain, Scott always adjusts the exercises accordingly. He listens carefully, follows up on how I’m doing at home, and checks in on my overall progress.

Scott also generously shares his knowledge and experience, offering helpful suggestions and insights into managing different health issues. Scheduling with him has been smooth, and I’m usually able to get appointments when I need them.

I highly recommend Scott to anyone seeking thoughtful, effective, and compassionate physical therapy care.

Working with Rachel is so helpful! She is a brilliant combination of knowledge, practicality, compassion, humor and encouragement. I have had the good fortune to work with her related to several physical challenges and in each series of sessions she provided the perfect balance of challenge and nurture. I was also impressed by the setting for physical therapy and her colleagues there.

Throughout my gymnastics career, I've had the opportunity to work with several physical therapists, but I can confidently say that Rachel stands out as the absolute best. Her level of expertise, commitment, and genuine care for her patients set her apart from anyone else I've encountered. She listens attentively to my concerns and goals, and approaches each session with a positive and encouraging attitude. I have rehabbed 2 major injuries with her, and it is thanks to her that I can return to sport each time with the confidence that I have 🙂

I've never had a better physical therapist than Rachel! She exceeded all of my expectations. I've had other physical therapy in the past, and none of it compared to the results I achieved with Rachel. And, Rachel is charming and fun to work with. I look forward to my appointments with her every week and I've seen great progress in recovering from my total knee replacement surgery thanks to Rachel.

Insurance

Agile Physical Therapy accepts most PPO insurance plans through your Out-of-Network (OON) benefits.

Why We’re Out-of-Network

We choose to stay out-of-network so we can give you the highest quality care possible. The rates many insurance companies pay don’t allow us to spend the time and attention each patient deserves.

One-on-One Care That Gets Results

Did you know that many physical therapy clinics see 3–4 patients per hour?
At Agile, you get the full hour with your therapist — every time. That means you can heal faster, need fewer visits, and always get personal, hands-on care from a highly trained Doctor of Physical Therapy.

We’ll Handle the Insurance Details for You

Our team will contact your insurance company to find out what your plan covers. We’ll explain your benefits clearly so there are no surprises. We will handle submitting the claims to your insurance company on your behalf.
Just fill out the form below or call our office, and our billing specialist will take care of the rest.
